Lead From Your Strengths
Updated: Feb 28, 2022
Did you know today is the International Day of Awesomeness? It is!
Today we are going to talk about something incredibly awesome - - - YOU!
So, before we dive into the message, take a moment and celebrate that you truly are an amazing human being ☺
I get the pleasure of working with people who are incredible leaders, forward-thinkers, and leaders who lead from their strengths.
Leaders who work from their strengths — or as I call it, from their comfort zone — tend to be happier, more effective, and more engaged. According to Gallup, they also positively impact their business's bottom line and are about six times more engaged in and out of the office.
This is why Stratengy loves teaching about DISC Leadership Styles. When you measure your natural tendencies of Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness, you can best understand your work style, and how to build more genuine relationships with others. Understanding and managing yourself is a key component in a leader’s growth cycle.
An exciting study from 2016 revealed that most people tend to think that improving our areas of weakness is much harder than improving our strengths. However, other studies show that developing our strengths allows for faster growth than just improving our natural weaknesses. On top of that, these studies have found that leaders who use their strengths are happier, more confident, and less frazzled.
The next time you are down on yourself, remember that you are full of strengths that are there to serve you in being your best self yet. I like to think of strengths as gifts. When we all use our own unique and special gifts, things tend to flow better for everyone. Remember to be the genius you were created to be!
Stratengy is here to help you navigate being a great leader in today’s world. Reach out to us today to learn how we can help you and your team be more engaged, collaborative, and productive.
